Jerry and Symanthia Trammell of Thorsby are happy to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Melissa Trammell, to Matthew Burnett, the son of Bobby and Kimberly Burnett of Maplesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Dorothy Trammell and James and Marie Johnson. She is a graduate of Thorsby High School and is currently employed at 1st Franklin Financial in Clanton.


The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Donald Alexander and Claudette Alexander of Centreville, and the late J.B. (Buck) and the late Mildred Burnett of Clanton. He is a graduate of Maplesville High School and is currently employed at Mobis in Montgomery.

The wedding will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church of Maplesville on Saturday, July 9 at 2:30 p.m. A reception will follow at the church. All friends and family are invited.
