Dean and Sharon Freese of Good Hope, Ga. wish to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Krin Elizabeth Freese, to Matthew Charles Mims, son of Steve and Alicia Mims of Clanton.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of George Walton Academy in Monroe, Ga., is a 2007 graduate of Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Ga. with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, and is now employed with The Ashford Center in Athens, Ga. She is the granddaughter of John and Margaret Good of Good Hope, Ga. and Joyce and the late Martin Freese of East Fallowfield, Pa.

The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Chilton County High School, is a 2008 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in agricultural economics, and is employed with Agri-Chem as a precision AG specialist in Hopkinsville, Ky. He is the grandson of the late Thomas and Frankie Bray and the late Jessie Charles Mims and Carolyn Mims, both of Clanton.

The marriage will take place on July 30 at Fair Havens Plantation in Arnoldsville, Ga.
