Billy McArthur Payton

Billy McArthur Payton, age 68 of Jemison, passed away on July 4, 2011, at his residence.

He was born July 27, 1942, in Chilton County, the son of the late Arthur Payton and the late Curdie Wallace Payton.

Mr. Payton was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by: wife, Louise Payton of Jemison; son, Michael (Lynn) Payton; daughter, Tina (Donnie) Fondren; grandchildren: Hope Payton, Jessie Fondren, Summer Payton, Kimberly Payton, Peyton Fondren and Gunnar Fondren; sister, Frances (Freeman) Ray; sister, Charlene (Roger) Mims; sister, Carol Wilson; brother, Larry (Vickie) Payton; brother, Jimmy (Leah) Payton; brother, Tommy Payton; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: parents, Arthur and Curdie Payton; brother, Carl Payton; and brother, Chester (Sheila) Payton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5 after 5 p.m. at their residence, located at 204 County Road 782 in Jemison.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at 11 a.m. from Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bishop officiating. The body will be in state one hour prior to the services at the church.

Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Randolph.
