Martha Burdett, 67, of Clanton died Tuesday, June 28, 2011.

She was born Sunday, June 4, 1944, in Germany, daughter of the late Wilhelm Krieger and the late Anna Elise Krieger.

She was a cook at the Shop n Fill on Highway 22 for many years.

Surviving are her two sons, Jimmy Frank (Cathy) Burdett of Maryland and Ronald (Susan) Burdett of Clanton; daughter, Debbie Ann (Kenny) Nunn of Clanton; five grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Stolle of Germany, Anneliese Dennerlein of Germany and Leni Sperner of Germany; and two brothers, Helmut Krieger of Germany and Alfred Krieger of Germany.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Milton Burdett; son, Charles Ray Burdett; sister, Erika Bauernfeind; brother, Sigfried Krieger; and godmother, Martha Anna Birkel.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 30 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be Friday, July 1 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home directing.
