Dorothy Rasberry Gibson, 91, of Maplesville passed away June 13, 2011, at her home.

She was born in Chilton County on Feb. 18, 1920.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Briggs W. Gibson.

She is survived by her sons, Briggs L.(Bobbie) Gibson, Braxton (Linda) Gibson, Erskine Gibson, Benny (Stephanie) Gibson and Timmy (Debbie) Gibson; daughters, Sallie (Ronald) Hand and Wanda (Eddie) Lockhart; grandchildren, Cameron (Jan) Gibson, Christie (John) Messer, Nancy (Joel) Moore, Angie (Jonathon) Townsend, Melanie (Wayne) Atchison, Greg (Donna) Gibson, Russell (Carla) Gibson, Cindy (Eric) Brown, Clint (Rose) Gibson, Chris (Sheryl) Gibson, Chad Gibson, Randal (Kathy) Hand, Brigette (Steve) Taylor, Kori Beth (Jeremy) Benson, Monica (Jonathon) Newbill, Jalyn Gibson, Kaitlyn Gibson and Ashlyn Gibson; 29 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 at Macedonia Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bishop and Rev. Danny Rasberry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
