Child killed in dirt road wreck (updated)
A child was killed in a single-vehicle wreck Tuesday near Verbena.
The wreck occurred at about 1 p.m. on County Road 530, a dirt road near Confederate Memorial Park.
Dispatch calls advised that a child was ejected and pinned under the vehicle.
Sgt. Steve Jarrett with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the wreck resulted in a fatality and that State Troopers were investigating.
Verbena Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.
