OPINION: Pandemic will not stop Santa

It’s Christmas time again, and that means Santa Claus is about to make his yearly trip delivering presents to children around the world.

Some of you kids may be worried that Santa will be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, but I wanted to assure you that Santa is healthy as ever, and he is planning spreading the Christmas cheer the same as he does every year.

I know this because Denny the elf, one of Santa’s best and brightest elves, told me that everything is going great up at the North Pole, and Santa is just a jolly as ever.

Denny said Santa understands that so many people need the Christmas season this year more than ever because of all the things they have had to go through.

He assured me that Santa and the elves have done their part to stay safe during the pandemic, and it was actually very easy because they are so far away from everyone else at the North Pole that they have not had one case of coronavirus at all.

There is no need to worry about whether Santa will be visiting your house this Christmas.

Make sure you remember to put those cookies and milk out so Santa can stay refueled along his journey. It is a long night for him and the elves.

The great thing about Christmas is that it carries on regardless of what is going on in the world.

For years, Santa has delivered gifts to boys and girls through good times and bad.

He has never missed a Christmas, and he not about to start this year.

So, keep the Christmas spirit alive this year and be on your best behavior, because Santa is coming.
