Flutter 2019 scheduled for Feb. 7

Butterfly Bridge is looking to go above and beyond for the children of Chilton County during Flutter 2019.

The event is the advocacy center’s marquee fundraiser each year. The 2019 installment will be held at the Jemison Municipal Complex on Feb. 7 with festivities beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The proceeds raised will continue to help support the primary goal of Butterfly Bridge, which is to help rebuild the lives of children dealing with abuse and minimize a child’s trauma during the justice and restoration process.

According to the Flutter website, funds from the event are viewed as critical in helping the organization continue its efforts.

Tickets can be purchased at flutter.swell.gives/details. Individual tickets are $15 or a couples’ ticket can be purchased for $12.50 apiece. The couples’ rate includes a pair of tickets.

Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served, while music will add to the atmosphere.

The night will also include silent and live auctions.

Residents can donate items to be auctioned off but are asked to inform Butterfly Bridge by calling its office at (205) 755-4205 by Jan. 18. The donation of auction items is tax deductible.

Drop-off dates for the auction items will be Jan. 28 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Feb. 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A specific drop-off time can also be arranged by calling the Butterfly Bridge office.

Businesses interested in sponsoring Flutter 2019 can contact Butterfly Bridge.
