Home Mortgage of America opens Clanton branch

Home Mortgage of America hosted a ribbon cutting and open house at its new branch located at 124 Sixth St. S in Clanton on Aug. 21.

The office has been open for business since Feb. 1.

“We are so excited about it,” said branch manager Debbe Key. “I have actually had an office in Clanton before. I went to Home Mortgage of America and told them we had to have a branch in Clanton. Finally, they agreed with me, and here we are.

Home Mortgage of America did not require much convincing to open the new Clanton location, according to Key.

“It didn’t take long,” she said. “I mentioned it, and they gave the OK. Most of my business comes from here anyway.”

According to the company’s website, “For over two decades, Home Mortgage of America, Inc. has been providing excellent service and value to our customers.”

Key said the company is based out of Houston but has branches all across Alabama. There are also branches in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and New Mexico.

“We are growing and opening up new branches all the time,” she said. “We have all types of mortgages. We have low rates. Everything is in house. Our processing, underwriting and closing are all done here. We get things done and on time. We are proud to say we do those things.”

According to the company’s website, “Our history of growth and stability through market fluctuation is in large part due to our strength, flexibility and our high volume of new and repeat business. Our strength and flexibility equals that of loan brokers and mortgage banks, while our high volume of new and repeat business enables us to offer optimum pricing and rates among the lowest in the industry.”

The new Clanton office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
