Ministry needs community’s support

Dear editor:

I wanted to just comment on an article that I read in the paper a couple of weeks ago about the Central Alabama Music Barn.

Marlin and Glenda Burnette operate this place of ministry only on donations given at their monthly singings. They buy all the food, prepare and clean up after all the singings, and it is a wonderful place to go for good clean fellowship. My husband and I enjoy going there to minister in song as well as to be ministered to.

My prayer is that we as a community will reach out to this precious couple who give so much of themselves to so many people. This is the highlight of many people’s month because we see a lot of the same people there each month. Our elderly have nowhere else to go to hear great gospel singing on a regular basis.

Marlin and Glenda, we love you and thank you for all you do and pray that we can help you to keep one of the best places of ministry in Chilton County open. Let us pay a small door fee, let us help you get sponsors or whatever we need to do to help you. We love you, and God bless you for all that your ministry has to offer.

Rhonda Headley, Verbena
