LeCroy Career/Technical Center to host annual fundraiser

LeCroy Career/Technical Center will host its second annual car, motorcycle and antique tractor show Saturday, May 14 to raise money for school programs. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The free event is open to the public. Door prizes and food will be available.

For those interested in participating in the car, motorcycle or antique tractor show, a $20 entry fee ($30 for multiple entries) is required. There will be asphalt parking for cars and grass for tractors.

“Approximately 40 cars and 10-12 tractors participated in last year’s show,” said Tim Littlefield, collision repair technology instructor at LeCroy Career/Technical Center. “The seniors will go around and pick their choice of who to give the plaque for best in show.”

The event will provide fun and entertainment for all ages, Littlefield said.

“Last year, we had inflatables for the children,” said Littlefield. “This year, we will have face painting and games.”

An open house will also be held for the cosmetology and horticulture departments.

“I hope it is a big success like last year,” said Littlefield. “It’s something we look forward to each year to get the people in Chilton County to come and look and see what our students are capable of. I feel like most people do not know what we do here, and it’s a chance for the students to ‘show and shine.’”

The show will be located at LeCroy Career Technical Center at 2829 4th Ave. Clanton, Ala. 35045.
