CCS All-county football team named

One of the interesting things that takes place each year during the Chilton County Basketball Tournament is the presentation of the Chilton County Schools All-County Football team.

However, the restrictions in place due to COVID-19 will mean the recipients of this year’s team will not be introduced as part of the halftime ceremonies on one of the nights.

This year’s team has been chosen and will consist of 41 total players representing each of the six public high schools that make up Chilton County Schools.

The Isabella Mustangs have the most players on the team with 10, while Chilton County High School has nine, Maplesville High School and Jemison High School have eight and Thorsby and Verbena have three.

Isabella, Maplesville and Thorsby made the playoffs in 2020.
