The local Walmart, located on Seventh Street South, donated water bottles and Gatorade bottles to the Clanton Police Department in preparation for the Peach Jam at Clanton City Park on June 13-14.

“This support from our local Walmart means a great deal to our officers,” said Clanton Police Chief Erick Smitherman in a Facebook post.

The Clanton Police Department also expressed that they are looking forward to the Peach Jam Jubilee and invited its followers to please attend. Walmart’s donations will go towards the police officers who work the Peach Jam.

“Community partnerships like this help us do our jobs more effectively and show the strength of local collaboration,” said Chilton County Sheriff John Shearon.

In the Facebook post, the police department expressed how the attendance of the festival celebrates their hard work keeping the community safe.
