The Fox family has taken a local farm in Jemison and flipped it into the charming, rustic venue FoxHaven that is ready to host events in the scenic countryside of Chilton County. Greg and Traci Fox took over the former Starwood II Farms and gave it a new purpose. Greg and Traci’s son, Ryan, is joining his parents on the journey to build FoxHaven into a desirable retreat for future parties to gather, celebrate and create lasting memories. FoxHaven was born as a “newly renovated wedding and event venue that offers a serene, elegant setting for celebrations of every kind,” a press release from Bethany Meadows said.
The Fox family acquired the old Starwood II Farms location in 2024 and saw the potential it had right away. The family’s goal after getting the location was to create a venue where couples could say “I do,” families could gather and organizations could create bonding experiences for their employees in the natural beauty of the area. Traci Fox also owns T. Fox Salonspa in Hoover, and her, Greg and Ryan combined their passion for preservation and dedication to the family project to oversee the transformation of FoxHaven.
“We wanted to create something lasting,” Traci Fox said in the press release. “FoxHaven is not just a venue — it is a legacy. It is where we hope others can create the same kinds of memories we cherish with our own family.”
FoxHaven is set on 45 acres of land and has three distinctive ceremony sites available for guests — The Barn, Vine & Vow and Stillwaters. Each site is designed to reflect the beauty and sacredness of the occasion. The venue also offers four appointed cottages — Grace Cottage, Stillwaters Villa, The Burrow and The Den. The Vineyard provides a romantic path for a quiet stroll or photo opportunities.
In May, the new Jemison venue hosted its first annual FoxHaven collective, an afternoon connection and collaboration amongst wedding professionals. The venue is currently booking events like weddings, corporate and ministry retreats, family reunions and more. To learn more about FoxHaven or to schedule a tour, visit www.foxhavenvenue.com.
