Owens wins county 4-H Forestry Competition

The Chilton County 4-H Forestry Competition took place at Minooka Park on May 30, and it was Emerald Owens taking the overall win across the four events during the competition.
“We are incredibly proud of all our participants and winners,” a press release from the Chilton County Extension System said. “Congratulations to the winners, and thank you for your hard work and dedication to 4-H and forestry.”
The four events during the competition included compass and pacing, tree measurement, topographic maps and tree identification.

1st place: Emerald Owens
2nd place: Owen Easterling
3rd place: Archer Owens
