After a successful first year, the farmers market in downtown at Clanton Corner Park is returning to celebrate local farmers.

The farmers market began in 2024 and gave local farmers and growers the opportunity and space to sell their produce. The response was positive, and Clanton Corner Park could be seen bustling each Monday the market was open.

This year’s farmers market will begin on May 19 and happen every Monday from 5-7 p.m. at 616 Second Ave. N., Clanton. Farmers interested in being a vendor at the market do not need a business license, but they must have an Alabama Growers Permit or a cottage law certification. Items sold at the farmers market are limited to fruits, vegetables, baked goods and value-added products, and no poultry products will be for sale. Vendors may set up each Monday no earlier than 4 p.m., and sales begin at 5 p.m.
