The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office has made three arrests stemming from an assault and robbery in rural Jemison on April 17. Suspects Hollie Amanda Odgers, Amber Nielle Zimmerman and Ashley Jo Zimmerman were taken into custody shortly after the initial crime by CCSO deputies.
“The safety of our community is our top priority,” Chilton County Sheriff John Shearon said in a press release from the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office. “We are committed to ensuring that justice is served and that our residents feel secure in their homes.”
On April 17, Chilton County E911 received an urgent call about a violent robbery in Jemison. When deputies arrived and after their initial investigation, they learned the victim had been assaulted by several individuals that he knew prior to the crime. During the assault, the assailants took the victim’s wallet and phone while also inflicting serious injuries.
The victim was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham where he was treated for his injuries, has since been released and is expected to make a full recovery.
“The swift response from local law enforcement, combined with the cooperation of the community, led to the successful identification and apprehension of the suspects shortly after the incident,” the press release said.
All three suspects are facing charges of Robbery and Assault, both in the first degree.
