Chilton County High School’s Kaylee Dunn is this week’s athlete of the week after her performances during the week of April 4-10.

The freshman had an incredible week going 12-for-22 across the Tigers’ six games during the week. She added three home runs, including one grand slam against Holtville High School on April 8, five doubles and 12 RBIs.

At a tournament from April 4-5, Dunn was a force for CCHS and helped the team split their four games 2-2. After a 1-for-3 effort in game one against Hoover High School, her power was on display the next three games going 8-for-11 and driving in six runs.

Following her grand slam against Holtville, Dunn closed her week out with a home run and two more RBIs against Calera High School in a pivotal Class 6A Area 5 game that CCHS took 9-1. Dunn’s week helped CCHS move to 27-6-2 overall and 2-1 in area play.
