Eleven of Isabella High School’s FFA students attended the annual FFA Day on the Hill on April 1 that is hosted by the Alabama FFA Foundation.

The IHS students got the opportunity to meet Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, Alabama State Superintendent of Education Dr. Eric Mackey and Alabama State CTE Director Dodd Hawthorne while hearing from state lawmakers about agricultural issues and laws in today’s world that are being presented in front of the House and Senate. The Isabella students closed out their FFA Day on the Hill with a tour of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association’s MOOseum where they learned about the history of the Alabama cattle industry and its value to the state’s economy.
