Birmingham, Ala. — United Way of Central Alabama (UWCA) has launched a secure donation website to support families in need and communities facing challenges caused by the tornadoes that swept through Alabama on Saturday, March 15th. These storms caused damage in Central Alabama, particularly in the communities of Calera, Maplesville and Sipsey.

UWCA has a strong track record of providing long-term recovery support and addressing unmet needs following natural disasters, making it a trusted resource in times of crisis. Donations to this relief fund will enable UWCA and its partners to address unmet needs and support long-term recovery efforts.

“United Way has always stood with families and communities in their most challenging moments, and no one should have to face a disaster alone,” said Drew Langloh, President and CEO of UWCA. “With the help of our donors and partners, we are dedicated to mobilizing resources to support individuals and families in long-term recovery.”

To donate, visit uwca.org/tornado-relief or text the word TORNADO to 62644 and click the link provided in the reply text.
