Parole denied for four Chilton offenders during Feb. 11-14 hearings

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles held parole hearings on Feb. 11-14 with multiple Chilton County offenders receiving their verdict during the hearings.
On Feb 11, two Chilton County offenders had their hearings held. First, Christopher Lloyd Ray was denied parole by the board and did not receive a reset date. No one spoke in favor or against Ray being awarded parole during his hearing. Ray is currently serving an 81-month sentence for a Theft of Property II arrest in Chilton County on Oct. 1, 2024 and has served one year, four months and 26 days of his sentence with 372 days of jail credit and 355 days of good time included. Ray’s minimum release date is set for May 22, 2026. Second, Omar Rashad Tyus was also denied parole by the board on Feb. 11 and he did not receive a reset date. No one spoke in favor or against Tyus being awarded parole during his hearing. Tyus is currently serving a 72-month sentence for a Distributing Controlled Substance arrest in Chilton County on Oct. 1, 2024 and has served four months and 26 days of his sentence with six days of jail credit and 355 days of good time included. Tyus’ minimum release date is set for June 17, 2026.
On Feb. 12, James Anthony Bozeman was denied parole by the board and received a reset date of February 2030. No one spoke in favor or against Bozeman being awarded parole during his hearing. Bozeman is currently serving a 999-year, 99-month and 99-day sentence for a Murder arrest in Chilton County on Sept. 28, 2006. Bozeman is not due to be released from prison unless he is granted parole.
Lastly, on Feb. 13, Joshua Lee Turk was denied parole by the board and received no reset date. No one spoke in favor or against Turk being awarded parole during his hearing. Turk is currently serving a 60-month sentence for a Distributing Controlled Substance arrest in Chilton County on Sept. 24, 2024 and has served one year and one day of his sentence with 218 days of jail credit and 276 days of good time included. Turk’s minimum release date is set for Jan. 24, 2026.
