Thorsby High School’s basketball programs had two of its players, Brooklyn Reeser and Aidan Seeley, cross over the 1,000-point milestone during the 2024-2025 season.
Reeser achieved the milestone on Jan. 13 in the Rebels’ 56-34 win over Maplesville High School. The junior reached the scoring mark in four years on the varsity squad having played on the team since her eighth-grade year. Reeser played a huge role in the success of Thorsby during the 2024-2025 season including winning the 2025 Chilton County Tournament.
“She has always been a fierce competitor and good player, but the last two years she has gained a lot more confidence in her scoring ability,” Kris Wood, Thorsby varsity girls head coach, said. “We lost another 1,000-point scorer last year, and if Brooklyn had not stepped up like she did this year, we could not have been as successful as we were.”
Seeley was able to notch his 1,000th point in his senior campaign that saw him shoot a tremendously high clip from 3-point range. His shooting prowess was on display during the varsity boys 2025 Chilton County Tournament as he helped Thorsby sweep the tournaments.
