Local banking entity River Bank & Trust was named one of the best companies to work for in Alabama by Business Alabama and Best Companies Group just before the end of 2024. Chief Executive Officer Jimmy Stubbs announced the honor in a press release in December, and River Bank & Trust ranked in the top three among large companies by Business Alabama and Best Companies Group, who “recognizes employers who excel at creating exceptional workplaces,” the press release said.

Companies in Alabama participated in a two-part survey to determine the best companies to work for. The first part assessed the workplace’s policies, practices and demographics. The second part measured employee experience, and the two scores were combined to determine the final rankings.

“At River Bank & Trust, we believe that when we care for our team, they deliver the same care and attention to our shareholders, customers, and the communities we serve,” Stubbs said in the press release. “By prioritizing professional development, recognition initiatives and our employee stock ownership plan, we foster a deep sense of pride, belonging and shared success.”

River Bank & Trust has two Chilton County locations, both in Clanton — the main location at 620 Second Ave. N., Clanton and the Clanton-South location at 2040 Seventh St. S., Clanton. Both locations provide banking services to hundreds of residents in the county, and do so within a great work environment for their employees at one of Alabama’s largest state-chartered banks.
