Gloria Junette “June” Bean Little, 89, of Clanton passed away January 21, 2023 at Charlton Place Rehabilitation and Health Care in Deatsville.

She was born June 30, 1933 in Birmingham, daughter of the late Luther Bean and the late Lucille Glasscock Bean.

June touched many lives through her work as a teller at Peoples Savings Bank in Clanton, always taking time to share joy and encouragement with those she served.  She was a longtime member of Clanton First United Methodist Church and loved to travel, crisscrossing the country with her family during her childhood.  She was particularly fond of the Southwest, and her later travels took her from the Sonora Desert to Niagara Falls to Western Asia, with countless adventures in between. Always quick to practice mercy, her loving nature and genuine interest in everyone she met generated a quiet grace that transformed her world.

Surviving family include her daughters, Mary (John) Mims in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Alice (Mike) Graham in Clanton; son, Dallas (Janice) Little in Minot, North Dakota; grandson, Trevor Little in Seattle, Washington; granddaughter, Zoe Little in Corvallis, Oregon; and extended family including Jim Gore in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and Paul Gore in Albertville, Alabama.

June was preceded in death by her father, Luther Bean; mother, Lucille Glasscock Bean; brothers, Donald and Charles Bean; chosen brother, Sidney Gore; cousin, Michael Gore; and dear husband of 33 years, Chester Little.

Friends will be received Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, 5-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, 10-11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Clanton.  Visitation will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 10 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dallas Little officiating. Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens, Clanton.

In lieu of flowers, June requested donations in her memory to her beloved church home, First United Methodist Church, 207 8th Street North, Clanton, AL 35045.
