The Clanton Water Treatment Plant was awarded the One Year Optimized Plant Award for 2021 from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) at the Dec. 12, 2022 meeting of the Clanton.
Water Works and Sewer Board for “outstanding commitment to excellence of operation that maximizes public health protection by achieving the optimization goals for microbial removal as established by ADEM Drinking Water Branch’s Optimization Program and U.S. EPA Region 4.”
Stanley Higgins, Director of Utilities for the City of Clanton, presented the award to staff members of the Water Treatment Plant.
“This award is the culmination of hard work and dedication by the employees of the Water Treatment
Plant,” Higgins said.
