MC Property Solutions in Verbena has moved to a new location with plans to expand what it offers to the community.

Owner Tim McCullough said the company does land clearing, driveway construction and repair, French drains, culvert pipes and excavation work.

Selling landscape materials, including gravel, sand, mulch and pine straw, was added in March.

The company is still settling in to its new location after locating there in August. McCullough said business was good in the spring and early summer. He said he appreciated the community’s support of them as a new business.

Plans are in the works to begin selling PVC pipe and plumbing equipment.

Selling this “just made sense because we use a lot of that stuff,” McCullough said.

He said this will allow the company to “be of service year-round.” There are also plans to add flagstone and pavers to the inventory.

McCullough started the business out of a desire to pursue a new opportunity.

“I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit,” McCullough said.

McCullough said he first purchased the equipment to work on the driveway of a property he owned, then decided to start a side business with it.

Business grew it into a full-time venture around 2019.

“A big part of it for me is when people call us it is because they need something, usually it is they need something significantly changed — a terrible driveway or a clear-cut piece of land that they want to put a homesite on or something — I enjoy that we go, and we make things better,” McCullough said.

The company has two full-time employees and one part-time employee.

The service most in demand comes in cycles.

“We will go for a few months and do a bunch of culvert changeout jobs … then we will get on land clearing,” McCullough said. “We do a lot of driveways.”

He said construction and repairs on gravel and asphalt millings driveways are probably what they do the most of overall. The company does not do concrete driveways.

The company plans to be community minded, supporting local sports and students, as it can.
