Beauregard High School improved its record to 8-1 with a 54-14 win over Jemison High School at home on Oct. 21. Tucker Bradford and Efrain Villeda got into the end zone for the Panthers on touchdown passes from quarterback Jaxon Padlo.

Beauregard jumped out to an 11-0 lead after the first quarter, and was driving for another score when Bradford intercepted a pass to halt the drive. Beauregard put 15 more points on the board later in the second quarter, but Bradford made an impact again hauling in a 31-yard touchdown pass from Padlo to cut the Beauregard lead to 26-7. Bradford represented the only points for the Panthers in the first half as Beauregard took a 40-7 lead into halftime.

In the second half, Beauregard continued to flex its muscle expanding their lead to 54-7 in the third quarter. However, Villeda carried the ball with pride breaking off two long runs to set the Jemison offense up at the Beauregard 35-yard line. Padlo found Villeda out of the backfield for a 34-yard touchdown on the next play to push the final tally to 54-14.

Jemison (2-7) takes on Elmore County High School on Oct. 28 in the Panthers final game of the 2022 season. Beauregard (8-1) plays Lincoln High School on the same day. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
