Clanton Country Club Ladies Club hosted its first golf clinic on July 21.

Young golfers ages 7 to 11 participated in the morning session. Afternoon participants were 12 to 15 years old. The clinic consisted of driving range practice, putting and general golf etiquette.

Instruction was delivered by David Peine, certified golf instructor with Ashway Golf.

Lunch and snacks were provided and all participants received a T-shirt, backpack, practice balls and other goodies.

The ladies club would like to thank all sponsors and volunteers for making the clinic successful and fun, including Moryln’s Jewelry and Fine Gifts, Chilton County Chamber of Commerce, Steven Smitherman, Kendra Mims Hayes, Deidra Gadberry State Farm Insurance, Steve Street, Janice Hull, Christy Mims, Jim and Brenda Driggers, Shane Aldridge, Mike Baker Coca Cola, Martin Funeral Home, Tina Jones, Rose Popwell, Karen Cox and Tommy Glasscock.
