The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles has denied a parole request for Raymond Rowzee.

Rowzee has served 21 years and six months of a 999 years, 99 months and 99 days term. He was arrested in 2001 on charges of rape, kidnapping, robbery and burglary in Bibb County and attempted murder in Chilton County, according to Alabama Department of Corrections information.

During the parole hearing, no one spoke in support of the parole being granted. Clanton Police Department officer Darrell Bone, Doris Hancock of the Victims of Crime and Leniency organization, Sarah Green of the Attorney General’s office and Jeannie Hamilton of the Elmore County District Attorney’s office spoke against the parole.
