The Clanton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle suspected to be involved in recent catalytic converter thefts.

Lt. Cameron Bates of CPD said catalytic converters have been stolen off vehicles in several areas of the city, including car dealerships and some repair shops.

Precautions can be made to deter the theft of catalytic converters.

Bates recommended parking cars in well-lit areas and to be aware of their surroundings.

Those with any information that could be helpful to the case or who can identify the vehicle are asked to contact Detective Jordan Denney at jdenney@clantonal.gov.
