Judy Perkins of Clanton had been met several mornings by a bird just outside her front door and was not sure why.

She had recently put up her decorations for Independence Day on July 4, including a flower arrangement for her door.

She was surprised to discover that a bird had made a nest inside the door hanging and had laid four eggs.

Now, she knows why the bird was meeting her every morning and will hopefully get to see the eggs hatch.
