Statewide results for the May 24 primary election

The May 24 primary included several state and federal races.

Here are the results of the winners listed as statewide. How Chilton County residents is included as Chilton County with each result.

Circuit Court Judge, 19th Judicial Circuit, Place 2

Statewide: Joy Booth with 51.85% (14,892 votes)

Chilton County: Jessica Sanders with 59.47% (4,115 votes)

 

District Attorney, 19th Judicial Circuit   

Statewide: C.J. Robinson with 67.95% (19,381 votes)

Chilton County: C.J. Robinson with 81.84%  (6,085 votes)

 

Governor

Republican

Statewide: Kay Ivey with 54.46% (356,347 votes)

Chilton County: Kay Ivey with 58.14% of the vote (4,695 votes)

Democratic: No candidate received the required 50% plus one vote Yolanda Rochelle Flowers and Malika Sanders Fortier will be in a runoff election.

Chilton County: Malika Sanders Fortier received the most votes at 146 (37.73%)

 

United States Senator

Republican

Statewide: Katie Britt received the most votes at 275,029, which was 45.01%. This means that no candidate reached the required 50% plus one votes and a runoff election will be scheduled between Britt and the candidate with next highest number of votes, which was Mo Brooks with 176,199 votes. This runoff election has been set for June 21.

Chilton County: Katie Britt received the most votes at 3,218, which was 40.67% of the total votes cast.

Democratic

Statewide: Will Boyd with 63.88% (97,886 votes)

Chilton County: Will Boyd with 59.20% (222 votes)

 

United States Representative, 3rd Congressional District

Statewide: Mike Rogers with 81.9% (70,762 votes)

Chilton County: Mike Rogers with 81.3% (1,961votes)
