No injuries after severe storms

Strong storms that came through Chilton County on March 30 reached wind speeds of 55 mph with 60 wind gusts.

Multiple tornado warnings had been issued  from 9:50 to 10:15 p.m.

Wind took out some power lines and knocked down some trees, but there were no injuries, according to EMA director Derrick Wright.

Alabama Power reported that 720 Chilton County customers were without power as a result of the storm. However, most customers had power restored by March 31.

The same line of storms had produced a tornado in the Talladega National Forest seven miles southeast of Centreville in Bibb County, according to alerts from the National Weather Service
