Parole board releases decisions for inmates from Chilton

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles has denied parole for Kayla Renee Underwood and Raymond Kyle Martin with charges in Chilton County.

Underwood is serving a six-year sentence from April 2021for an Offenses-Person Class “C” Felony.

Martin is serving 15 years for violation of the sex offender registry law in Chilton County and a concurrent five years for possession/ receiving controlled substance – Class D in Jefferson County.

Parole was granted for Anthony Oneal Looney.

“The board vote to grant parole to Detainer and/or Program,” according to the meeting minutes.

A family member and a family friend spoke in favor of parole being granted during the hearing.

Looney had served three years and eight months of a 15-year sentence for possession of a pistol after being convicted of violence.
