The Humane Society of Chilton County is offering vouchers for discounted spay and neuter services again this year.

Cost for the vouchers are female dog spay $59, male dog neuter $44, female cat spay $44 and male cat neuter $29.

Vouchers are available at the animal shelter, 139 Shade Tree Drive in Clanton. The animal shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturdays of each month.

“We are also collecting donations from businesses to do a free voucher give away for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day this year,” animal shelter director Jen Fesmire said.

The Human Society of Chilton County supports ongoing efforts for pet owners to have their pets spayed or neutered as a way to limit the number of unwanted pets being brought to the shelter.
