Parole board makes decision on local offenders

The Alabama Board of Pardons & Paroles has released information on decisions regarding parole for inmates from Chilton County.

Jared Dakota Frost was granted parole on Feb. 16. Frost had been sentenced to four years for possession/ receiving a controlled substance on Nov. 3, 2021.

Parole was denied for Christopher Scott Crumpton, Jamal Lashad Johnson and Shawn Moton.

On Aug. 26, 2021, Crumpton had been sentenced to three years for possession/ receiving a controlled substance Class D concurrent to a six-year sentence from 2020.

Johnson is serving a five-year sentence for distribution of a controlled substance.

Morton is serving 20 years for rape and attempted murder sentences from 2004.
