UPDATE: The accident has been cleared.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is asking motorists to avoid northbound Interstate 65 near the 174 mile marker in Montgomery County.

The lane remains blocked from a single-vehicle crash at approximately 3:32 p.m., according to ALEA.

Taking an alternative route is being recommended.

A timeline of when the lane will be cleared is unknown.

“ALEA Troopers will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly,” according to the press release.
