From CMS FCCLA

The Clanton Middle School chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) has been hard at work doing things for others in our community. This first semester, students have completed three service projects. First, they baked pumpkin treats for the citizens of the Chilton County Humane Society’s shelter. Then, students in Mrs. Minshew’s class made homemade greeting cards for the residents at Hatley Health Care.

For their latest project, FCCLA members have planned, created, and executed a Fall Festival for a special group of CMS students.

In class, students split up into groups and each group found ideas online for a game they could make and what prizes they would give away for each game. The students used found items at school and home to create the games, and got right to work. One group of students made a special snack and punch for the guests, and another student painted a beautiful fall photo booth! Other games included soccer, bowling, golf, ball toss, ring toss, and a dice game.

Everyone enjoyed the fall festival so much!
