An all-terrain vehicle accident on Nov. 28 resulted in the death of the driver.

Anneliese M. Franks, 37, of Calera “was fatally injured when the 700 Yamaha Grizzly all-terrain vehicle (ATV) she was operating left the roadway, causing her to be thrown off,” according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency press release.

Franks was pronounced dead at the scene by Chiton County Coroner Aaron Ellison.

The ALEA stated the accident occurred on County Road 151 in Chilton County around 12:10 a.m.

No further information was available as the Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate.
