Butterfly Bridge is putting on a Campaign Kickoff event to celebrate its new home on Aug. 26.

The event is open to the public, and it will be a chance for people in the community to see the plans Butterfly Bridge has for its new location.

The organization is moving into a house that is known to most as the Moore house, as it was previously owned by Dr. Joe Moore. Located at 502 Fifth Ave. in Clanton, Butterfly Bridge will be hosting its Campaign Kickoff event on the lawn outside the house, as the house is currently undergoing renovations.

“We’ve been working and planning and being very hopeful to make this move for a long time now,” Butterfly Bridge Events and Development Coordinator Brittani Ellison said. “… This is more our public kickoff event to really let the public know what our plans are for the future and to get their support behind us.”

The event will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and donations to Butterfly Bridge will be accepted during that time.
