River Bank & Trust has been named to a list of the Best Companies to Work For in Alabama by Business Alabama and Best Companies Group.

“Our team members are our best asset, and we owe much of our success to the contributions they’ve made,” Chief Executive Officer Jimmy Stubbs said in a press release. “Fostering a work environment where everyone has an opportunity to thrive both personally and professionally is a top priority.”

Honorees were determined through a two-part survey sent to companies throughout the state.

“The first part evaluated each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics,” according to a River Bank press release. “The second part was an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies.

Since opening in 2006, River Bank & Trust has grown to a total of 18 locations.

In Chilton County, there are three River Bank & Trust locations: two in Clanton and one in Thorsby.

“From learning and development opportunities to robust retirement and benefits packages, we invest in our people,” Darren Wilson, River Bank & Trust’s Chilton County president, said. “Our team members are our best asset, and we’re committed to helping them succeed, both personally and professionally.”

The two main company goals have always been “establish a community-focused financial institution that would support local decision making and re-circulate money back into the communities it serves,” according to the press release. “River Bank & Trust has grown to be one of the largest state-chartered banks in Alabama with current assets of $2.25 billion.”
