From Haley Lively, CIS art teacher

Clanton Intermediate School students learned how to use wool fibers to create personal art and developed new ideas through open ended experimentation. The art of needle felting involves wool fibers, felt material, felting needles, and a creative mind.  The project was a success and a big hit with students at CIS.  Discussions of students were, “this is so neat,” “it’s so satisfying,” “amazing,” “how can I get this to use at home!”  Thank you to Central Alabama Electric Cooperative, 2020 Bright Ideas Grant Program, for fulfilling this great opportunity for students in grades fourth, fifth and sixth.  They were able to explore and create art with the needle felting medium!
