The Town of Maplesville is accepting applications for the position of police chief.

No one was appointed to this position during the meeting held to appoint department heads after the swearing in for the Mayor and Council on Nov. 2.

Todd Ingram had been police chief.

According to Town Clerk Dawn Smitherman, the full application process for the position will be determined at the Nov. 9 meeting of the Maplesville Town Council.

All other department heads were reappointed to the same positions.

Mayor W.C Hayes was sworn in for another term at the Nov. 2 meeting after winning his election against Tim Jones. Council members John Caudle, Sheila Hall, Hal Harrison, Richard Davis and Patty Crocker will be serving another term after running unopposed in the recent election.
