The Humane Society of Chilton County is looking to raise funds and help pets celebrate the holidays with Santa Paws on Dec. 7 from 1 to 4 p.m.

According to the Humane Society, the event will include photo opportunities, hot chocolate apple cider, gifts and other fun activities.

Photos of pets and owners with Santa will be $10. Funds raised will go toward the continual operation of the animal shelter.

The event will be held at the Clanton Country Club, 1625 Seventh St. S.

Funds are also being raised through a quilt raffle. Humane Society member Renee Helms said the quilt was donated to the organization by the Chilton County Extension Office and features unique material with a paw print design. Tickets are $5 a piece and can be purchased at the animal shelter (139 Shade Tree Drive), from a board member or by contacting the Humane Society of Chilton County on Facebook.

The winner of the quilt will be drawn on Dec. 20.
