An ATV crash claimed the life of a Verbena man on Aug. 23.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 44-year-old Larry Tyus Jr. was killed when the 2007 Yamaha ATV he was driving left the road and overturned on Autauga County 32.

“Tyus was not using a helmet and was ejected,” said ALEA in a release.

Tyus Jr. was approximately three miles north of the White City community.

He was taken to Prattville Baptist Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

“Nothing further is available as ALEA State Troopers continue to investigate,” said the agency in the release.
