Exit Royal Realty and the Chilton County Arts Council will host a gallery showing at Elizabeth Hall in downtown Clanton on Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Charlotte Rowland of CCAC said Exit Royal Realty had contacted the Arts Council about doing a show.

The group is inviting local artists who would like to feature their work to participate.

“There is no entry fee,” Rowland said. No judging. “It is strictly just a public art show.”

Rowland said those interested in participating can contact her at 205-415-0211.

Each artist will be able to feature a few pieces in the show, but space is limited.

Rowland said artists can also put prices on their work to sell during the event.

The artwork featured will be a variety, including everything from pottery to paintings.

Rowland will have some of her watercolor paintings in the show.

In addition to giving artists a space to show their work, the event will help to promote the Arts Council.

“I don’t think a lot of people in Chilton County really are aware of what the art council does,” Rowland said. “We are a nonprofit organization. We like to promote different activities … and have more participation in the arts council.”
