Doris LeCroy Sosa, 84, of Clanton died Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

She was born on Saturday, October 13, 1934, in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late Leon Clifford LeCroy and the late Pauline Williams LeCroy.

She was preceded in death by: her great granddaughter, Jade Smith; her daughter, Patrice; her father and mother, Clifford and Pauline LeCroy; and her brother, Alton LeCroy.

She is survived by her husband (Ray Sosa they recently celebrated 58 years of marriage; Son, Leon (Rachel) Sosa, Ray (Debra) Sosa, 5 grandchildren Joanna Smith, Jennifer (Todd) Laye, Paul Sosa, Jason (Amanda) Sosa, Jonathan Sosa, 7 Great Grandkids (Joey Smith, Hannah Robinson, Kelley Ann Sosa, Jorianna Sosa, Maria Sosa, J.R. Sosa and Jake Sosa).

The family would like to especially thank Southern Care Hospice, Tina Atchison (R.N.), Sara Smith, (patient care tech), Judy Dean (social worker) and Pam Lanier for their professional care of Doris and the family during this time.

She was a hard working person… spending her adult life working for Zeigler’s in Selma, Keystone in Clanton and The Chilton County Water Department.

Mrs. Sosa was a lifetime member of Mulberry Baptist Church. She was proud that her great-great-great grandfather (Joseph Williams) was one of the founding members of this church in 1818.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2019 @ Mulberry Baptist Church.

Services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Mulberry Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Mims officiating.

Interment will follow in Mulberry Baptist Cemetery, Maplesville, Alabama.
