A three-vehicle crash on Nov. 27 claimed the lives of two Anniston women, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Marjorie Beck Butler, 46, and Rhonda Renee Vickers, 62, both of Anniston, were killed when the 2000 Mitsubishi Montero driven by Ms. Butler side-swiped a 1978 Peterbilt tractor-trailer before colliding head-on with a 2015 Peterbilt tractor-trailer,” ALEA said in a release.

No one else was injured in the crash, which happened on Highway 31 near the 214 mile marker, which is approximately two miles south of Clanton.

“Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate,” said the release.
