Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Bibb County 65,

Jemison 21

The Panthers are still in search of their first win of the season and a 44-point loss to Bibb County.

With the defeat, Jemison falls to a record of 0-6 overall and 0-3 in region play.

It was the second time that the Panthers have allowed an opponent to score 60-plus points this season.

However, the offense continues to show consistency, having scored 20-plus points in four of the six games played.

Jemison returns home against Marbury on Oct. 12.

Autaugaville 34,

Verbena 6

It was another tough loss for Verbena (0-5, 0-3) who has just four games remaining in the season to get a victory.

However, a bright side is that the Autaugaville loss was the finale of a four-game road stretch.

Three of the Red Devils’ final four games will be played in front of their home crowd.

Due to a schedule front-loaded with road games, Verbena has played just one game at home at this point in the season.

The 34 points scored by Autaugaville was the least amount of points Verbena has surrendered in a game this season.

Verbena hosts Notasulga in another region matchup on Oct. 12.

Wadley 50,

Billingsley 6

The Bears’ three-game winning streak came to an end against highly touted Wadley.

It was only Billingsley’s first loss in Region 4-1A, as they still currently sit in a position to challenge for a home game in the postseason despite the loss.

Wadley is a team that Billingsley can measure itself against, as Marvin Morton continues to build a solid foundation and program identity in his first year as head coach.

Billingsley will now shift its focus to a home contest against Autaugaville on Oct. 12.
