The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office has one suspect and vehicle in custody and is still searching for another suspect in relation to a series of burglaries that occurred in the area of the 1400 block of County Road 33 around mid morning on Oct. 1.

“We are looking for a white male,” said Chilton County Sheriff John Shearon. “We are on County Road 33, and we have covered this entire area. We are trying to sort it all out.”

Shearon said there were three separate burglaries in the area. He said that CCSO was being aided by members of Calera police and dog teams from correctional facilities in Bibb and Elmore counties.

Anyone who sees anything suspicious in the area is asked to call CCSO at (205) 755-1120.

Shearon would also like to advise residents in the area to stay out of the woods while authorities conduct their search.
